Renovation of Amna School

Project Description

DGC, in collaboration with Ashghal and Qatar Museums, revived one of the oldest schools in Qatar (First Girls School in Qatar) built in 1965 into a creative hub for designers and curators while mainting the old look of the school. The school is now renamed to Liwan Design Studios and Labs which offers a unique space for members to experience Liwan’s shared spaces, private studios, state-of-the-art prototype and digital photo labs, and participate in artisanal workshops and events. The scope of Work covers the design, dismantling, construction, completion and commissioning of interior, architectural, civil, mechanical systems, electrical, fire and life safety systems in order to fit the requirement as a temporary exhibition.
